| Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center Enterprise Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center Enterprise opened its doors on October 1, 2001. A satellite of Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center in Dothan, the Enterprise facility serves individuals in Coffee, Covington, Geneva, Dale and Pike counties. Program services provided include vocational evaluations, employee development, organizational employment, and community employment. WRC Enterprise plays a vital role in the economic life in the various Alabama communities served by paying individuals for work performed in an “earn while you learn” approach to training individuals to become employable and assisting them in finding jobs in the various communities. Over 25 individuals work daily in the job readiness, job development and community employment program, spending approximately $500,000 annually in the communities in which they live. With the support of Wiregrass United Way, WRC Inc. provides a transportation system to make it possible for individuals in a 50 mile radius of the Centers in Dothan and Enterprise to participate in its on-site program.
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES Litter Collection/Recycling Programs WRC Enterprise provides litter collection/patrol services for the local municipality and businesses. WRC has collected tons of refuse/debris along the City of Enterprise’s main corridors. WRC Enterprise provide the labor for the recycling program for the City. Approximately 115 tons of residential/commercial materials are currently being recycled each month. The contracts for litter collection and recycling with the City provide on the job work experience/training for 10-15 consumers daily. Janitorial/Custodial Services Professional janitorial and custodial services are provided through the Environmental Services division of Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center Enterprise. Within each area, trained personnel are provided to complete quality work in a timely fashion. The janitorial/custodial services division is experienced in cleaning medical and healthcare facilities, hospital environments, professional offices, churches, industrial sites as well as commercial and residential real estate/apartments, before and after occupancies. Assembly WRC Enterprise provides assembly and packaging services to meet the needs of local businesses and industries. WRC Enterprise will combine manufactured parts to make a complete packaged product per each customer’s specifications. Each assembly/packaging job is priced on a per piece basis which guarantees the customer a stable cost. WRC Enterprise has the ability to meet all your assembly/packaging needs. Disassembly WRC Enterprise has the ability to meet your disassembly needs. For example, disassembly services are provided for a local industry specializing in aircraft engine parts refurbishing. Disassembly operators at WRC Enterprise disassemble with special tooling certain aircraft engine parts such as magnetos, starters, alternators, and fuel injection components for a local business. These jobs require certain skill levels and provide great opportunities for consumers interested in these type careers. These jobs are also quoted on a per piece basis which helps businesses stabilize costs. Collating WRC Enterprise provides services for local printing companies meeting their collating, assembling, and stapling of brochures and mail-out needs. Work Groups WRC Enterprise can assist business and industry by providing on-site temporary supervised work groups. WRC work groups are tailored to the needs of the customers. Enclaves include an experienced, qualified supervisor who assists in training, productivity, management, and general supervision of the workers. Your business or industry is billed a flat rate for the work group and supervisor. Large businesses can remedy labor problems, such as excessive sick leave, high employee turnover, and costly benefits. WRC work groups can help local businesses and industries grow assisting with competitive labor costs.
